Surprising little monster of a machine

I have a full sized home. I have a full sized washer and dryer as well. I bought this item to replace ANOTHER portable machine that I had given to my daughter and to use as a gentle wash option for my underwear as I don't like the torture that the large machine wreaks on my expensive bras. I wasn't expecting much because this item costs less than the other, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE this little machine!!
As seen on my pictures, I just sat it next to my shower and used my detachable shower head to fill the tank and ran the drain hose to the bottom of the shower. It comes preassembled so there really nothing to do but use it once you take it out of the box.
In the end, I ended up trading with my daughter because this one has a lint catcher and the other one doesn't. Since I have a dryer, I don't need that option as much as she does. But I love this little thing and hated to give it up. However, you do strange things for kids, right?
If you're on the fence, get off it and make the purchase. You won't regret it.

Love this thing

My boyfriend laughed when he saw it. However, when he saw how well it worked he stopped laughing. The noise is not as bad as I read it was. The only time it gets out of hand is if the spinner/dryer is overloaded. Clothing really does come out practically dry. Wow. If you are using the soft setting I suggest you don't put it in for anything past 3-4 minutes if you clothing is really delicate. I use washing bags for lacy things since the agitation is so strong. This thing is a powerhouse and my clothing comes out just as clean as it did at the commercial dryer. I also put a knee-hi around the draining tube so that I could get rid of any lint from the washer. I use a very small squirt bottle (left over from dollar store dish detergent), You really only need a very small amount to wash. I would buy it again and will definately say buy it. I just hope I get many years of good use out of it. So far so good. The plug and the drain are nice and long. I use an appliance extension cord(air conditioner) because my outlet if very high.

Great little washer

Had one of these back in the 50's for baby clothes but you had to wring out the closes, empty out water by hand and rinse. Those had no spin cycle. Decided to check the newer ones out and found this one. It holds more clothes than I thought it would, was quiet and the spin cycle worked well. I live alone and have a few really small load of things like "black" clothes, too few to put in my big super washing machine.

I set it up in the bathtub in a bath room that the tub is never used Excuse the appearance of the old tub but original bath was built in 1951. Over the years, I have only used this old cast iron tub for bathing my large hairy dog, thus tub is stained. This tub already had a hose attached to facet and perfect for filling up this washer. Placed washer on two 2 x 4 blocks of wood so that it is elevated off tub floor to prevent water when washer is draining from getting into bottom of tub. Placed a screen in drain to catch lint. Have a GFI outlet in this bathroom and cord was long enough to reach. I am amazed at how many items I can get into washer and it agitates clothes well. It does sometimes tangle clothes but I just stop washer and straighten them out. I sometimes reset washer timer to go another 15 min wash. The spin cycle is great but have to spin in two groups of washed clothes as the spin basket only holds one half of washed clothes. Viverates a little when spin cycle starts so I just hold machine to keep it from moving off the wood 2x4's. It levels out in about 60 seconds and does spin water out until clothes are damp dry. Item did not say the spin would stop when you opened the lid during spin but this one does, re-starts when lid is closed again.

I really like this little washer, I could see where it would be great for campers and small apartment with no washer available or if you had to go into a basement washroom.

bought this to be used at camp and we love it. we needed it as my wife does not like going to a laundromat and knew since it is summer we would be wearing shorts most of the time and rarely wearing heavier clothes and this would work and it has. great item.

It is Great!

Our apartment bldgs laundry room is disgusting. Tenants wash all sorts of pet beddings and such and the machines are always FULL of animal hair... Water and electricity is included in rent so it was a no brainer to invest in this little puppy. I will probably still use the bldgs dryer for large towels and duvet covers.

It has a strong new smell, kinda like a new car but less pleasant. Surely it will fade in time.
For the love of G, don't overfill the spinner and if it starts spinning out of alignment and makes a terrible sound and the whole thing shakes violently, STOP, remove the items and loosely put them back, maybe 1 or 2 items less.
Those of us growing up in Europe without an automatic w.machine know how to operate a spinner. We used to have one standalone washer and another standalone (smaller) spinner. When you used the spinner, you had to stand close to it and knee on top of it w one leg so the machine would not move around the bathroom.
I started w one black load. Used about a little more than a tablespoon of liquid detergent and after two rinse cycles, the detergent still left stains on some of the shirts. I will have to experiment with the amount.
After a 6 mins wash, I would spin the clothes for a minute, rinse for 3, spin for 1, rinse again for 3 (with fabric cond), and final spin for 2 mins. The dampness of the clothes are similar (if not better) than when I remove the clothes from the commercial machines. Spinning the clothes for 2 mins vs. 5 mins did not make a difference in dampness.

So Easy to Use!

I'm so glad I bought this. I couldn't use my regular washing machine for a couple of months and this one came in so handy. I use a bucket to fill it up with water instead of the hose. It holds more than I would have thought and the clothes come out of the spinning cycle almost dry. I only need to hang them up for an hour or so. It's worth noting that all the items washed in the left side do not fit at one time in the right (spin) side. It's also worth noting that you must use the plastic piece that fits over the clothing in the spin side.

Buy it. NOW!

Yall buy it! So worth it. I just moved into an apartment where we cant have our own washers... Shhh. So I bought this amazing baby! Unfortunately its too big to sit on my counters in bathroom or kitchen but it fits perfectly in my shower. I just use the shower head to fill up the wash side. I kid you not the spin side is so powerful that the stuff coming out was legit 90% dry! More dry than a regular washing machine. I washed a small blanket and it hung for less than an hour after washing and spinning and it was completely dry.
So as for size wise... I did 4 pillow cases, the small blanket, a bath towel and a wash cloth all together. For clothes.. multiple dress shirts, and dress pants, underwear and socks all together. Now... for big sweatpants/hoodies and jeans... they struggle to do more than a few together just because of their bulkiness. The spin side you have to do smaller loads, but it only takes a few mins to spin, so I spin half of the clothes and then when they are done, I spin the ready of the load while I hang the freshly spun clothes.

GOOD BUY

I've used this mini washer 4 times now and it did not disappoint. I was able to do the washcloths, a few doilies and pot holders in the first wash, but, the machine let me know that all of those pieces in the spinner was not a good idea. It started rocking and could not get going due to over load so, no problem, removed some pieces and it did just fine. The spinner is the bomb, meaning, it literally extracted 95% of the wash water and therefore, the pieces line dried in no time. I was very pleased on that point. The washer pulses and moves the pieces around in the tub very vigorously. I washed the pieces for 9 minutes. It stops every so often by design and when you put it on "drain", it really drains. The instructions say it "must" be on a flat surface and that is true. I had to remove the bath rug underneath it before it would start washing. I put it in the bathroom next to the tub. The input hoses would not fit my fixtures but I was able to use the shower head to fill it. I would not put large pieces, like jeans or sheets in the machine, but the smaller pieces do fine and saves me laundromat money. I wish the overall machine was better quality plastic parts and wish the spinner was larger but for the money and with some careful use of it, I think it will last a while.. Very pleased with the purchase. Yes, I would recommend.
